Fish Spa? Really? Yay or nay?

So fish spar's have been around in the UK for some time now. Im not sure just how long but just last month my town opened a store which has a fish spa in one of the side rooms so i just had to check it out.

So a fish spa is there you sit down and have tiny little fish called Doctor fish feed on your skin. They take away all the bad or infected skin leaving fresh soft skin. Great if you have hard heels!
Doctor fish are made up of two different species Garra Rufa and Cyprinion macrostomus.

Iv never, ever had a fish spa and i never will. Like several american states and Canada provinces i feel the fish spar is totally unsanitary and is a risk to peoples health.

Think about it. If a doctor fish feeds on an infected wound or piece of skin that person may get rid of whatever problem they have. But the same fish is then going to feed on the next customer which may just have dead skin and no big problem. Therefore that person is in serious risk of then getting that infection.
The staff do not change the water in the tank either so your putting your feet in dirty water that all of their customers prior to you have had their feet in. Disgusting huh?

So next time you feel like going to take a fish spa or if your thinking of taking one for the first time, Take this post into consideration.

So here is the question...Fish spa...Yay or nay?
What do you think about fish spas?

Have a brilliant day.

Get a Tantastic tan and join the other bronzed beauties this summer!

Thinking of getting a beautiful tan?
Not enough sun?
Dont want to spend tons in the salon or for that matter get skin cancer from the sun beds?

No fear! Tantastic is here!!

So what makes Tantastic so great?
Tantastic is easy to apply and is great to apply all year round. It contains Vitamin E which is great for your body, Lasts up to 5 days and leaves  you with a gorgeous sun kissed glow with flawless results.
Tantastic contains only 100% natural DHA which has been approved but Ecocert.

My thoughts on this product.
Yesterday was the 2nd time ever at using tanning lotion. I used a different brand some years ago around the age of 16 and had a really bad experience where the tan was all uneven, Streaks and i also started to come out in a rash. It was an allergic reaction to something in the lotion. I swore id never use tanning cream again but seeing how many people love Tantastic made we want to try it.

After asking Tantastic for a sample to review i got nervous to actually apply it. I was about to bottle it until the package got here and i thought to myself, Why not? Its worth a try.

So after reading more reviews from random bloggers and youtubers i grabbed the tanner and a mirror, Along with the tanning mitt and hid away in my bedroom to apply it.
I got really scared as the lotion was a really dark brown but once i started to apply it i felt so much better. I totally forgot to get myself a back brush so that i didn't have to try and do some kind of funny little dance or rip my arm out the socket just to get to my back and i didn't have a partner to apply it there as my boyfriend cant stand the smell of most of the products i put on so i did it myself.

Anyway, After applying it all over my body it was time for my face. This got really scary as i could see the tan was actually developing right away on the rest of my body but i did it and evened it all out.

2 Hours passed and after anxiously checking my tan ever 2 minutes i felt that enough was enough. I couldn't last the whole 7 hours and i just had to go in the shower and wash it off before it got even darker.

I could actually see the product draining away when i washed it off but the tan still stayed and after drying myself off i have to admit i fell straight inlove with the way it turned out.

My legs are so bronze and beautiful. My arms look gorgeous, My face and everything looks amazing. I was completely shocked.
It looks like iv been away to a very hot country for a few weeks and just bathed in the sun. Talk about tantastic!!

I barely have to put any foundation on anymore as the tan looks so great on my face and even though i didn't apply vaseline to my hairline to stop me getting tide marks, It blended in so evenly and looked amazing.

When i got up in the morning though i looked more golden but that's to be expected as the tan was more then likely still developing even though i had showered.

The only problem is that i do have darker hands and also a little bit of an orange palm but i think that's because i must have touched my body with my hand while the tan was developing.
No fear though, Ill just get some fake tan remover or iv heard that nail polish remover does the same. Also bleach with water but no thankyou...Never put bleach on your body =/

My tips for beginners
Even though most companies and people who have used tanners before tell you to put the tan on before bed, DONT.
While your sleeping you cant see just how dark your tan is going. Tanners will develop more with the warmth and by the morning your going to end up darker then you originally wanted to be.

I suggest you apply it either in the morning or in the afternoon. When you can stay in and keep checking. If your like me and your worried about how dark it will go when its fully developed then you'll want to be awake and alert, Ready to run to the shower if it gets passed your liking.

Would i recommend this product?
Definatly! I love Tantastic and even though i haven't tried any other self tanners to compare it to, I would definatly recommend this tanner to anyone.
They do a few different tanners such as an Instant Tan which is a liquid a BronzerSpray tan and then they have a Gel tan. The gel tan comes in a body gel and then a gel just for your legs.

The one i used was the tanning gel which was for the body and legs.

They say that the tanning product does NOT have a smell to it. In my opinion it does. I could definatly smell something all the time it was on and after i showered the smell was still there but it was much fainter.
This morning when i woke the smell had gone and one ore huge biggie with this product is that it dried after a few minutes and didnt leave my bedsheets all orange like some people admit to coming across with other companies tanners.

So like i said, I would definatly recommend this tanner to anyone. If you have sensitive skin like me then its fine. If your still abit weary then do a 24-72 hour skin test. Dab a small amount of tanner just behind your ear like you would do with a hair colour test and lave it. if it itches or burns then remove it with warm water and soap.

Thankyou so much to tantastic for the oppotunity to review this amazing product. I loved it and im coming back for more when iv ran out.

Have a beautiful day everyone and if you have any questions feel free to leave me a comment or email me at xoxkissablebeautyxox@hotmail.co.uk.

Yay or Nay to mascara adverts with fake lashes?

All over the tv, Women AND men and using fake lashes. Take the commercials for instance. Those gorgeous looking women who do the mascara adverts with those long voluminous lashes. WRONG! Their fake lashes. Just some time ago a high brand did a tv advert for a mascara which was just being released. Little did they tell you that the celebrity was actually wearing around 3 to 4 layers of lashes to get that look.

The advert actually got banned and they made another with the exact same celebrity and mascara, With all the lashes included but at the bottom in tiny size 4ish print was something saying 'Model is wearing lashes'.
If you blinked during the advert then you would have definatly missed it.

Do you think this should be allowed? I dont! I think it should be banned and we should be able to see the exact effect that the mascara gives you. Normally clumped up lashes that smudges everywhere and takes 10 minutes to dry....Slight exaggeration there =)

Some poor girls are thing WOW i want some of that. I want my lashes to look as gorgeous as that. Little do9 they know there are fake lashes involved. Its called being too gullible.

Anyway, what do you think? Should they be allowed to do adverts with the lashes on or should they be made to apply the mascara without them to show the mascaras full potential?

Also, What is your favourite mascara right now? Im loving the Gosh Mascara!!

The rules to a gorgeous tan

You've some to the decision  that its time to take the next step into your beauty life.
TANNING! You've seen all your friends try it and rock that beautiful tan goddess look, Now its time for you to have a go.

First Rule to tanning is to prepare your skin.
Always moisturise after you've come out of the shower. Leave 24 hours between shaving and applying your tan else your going to have extremely itchy legs!

Exfoliate: Gently scrub your body all over before tanning. This will lift all and remove all of the dead skin cells leaving you with clean fresh skin ready for tanning.
Applying fake tan to dry uneven skin will leave you with a flaky tan.

Moisturise: Apply moistoriser before tanning. let it fully soak in before appling the tan. Apply a small amount of moistoriser to the parts of your body which are the most dry such as your elbows, Knees and feet.

Gloves and Mitts: To avoid getting orange hands, Use a latex glove or mitt to apply your tan. After tanning the rest of your body then use a cotton wool ball to apply the tiniest amount to the back of your hands and your fingers. Interlock your fingers like your washing your hands to make sure that between your fingers are covered in fake tan.

The back: Unless you have someone who is willing to apply the tan to your back or you have incredibly long, stretchy arms then you will need a back brush. You can get these from a body shop or online.

Vaseline: Dab a small amount of vaseline into your hairline and eyebrows to prevent tide marks.

Buffing: Once your tan is applied. use a buffing mitt to gently buff any build up away. This helps spread the tan more evenly and avoids varying shades.

Clothing: Wear loose, Dark clothing after tanning to avoid any marks getting onto your clothes. Keep your legs bare to show off your gorgeous tan!

Removing unwanted tan: Has your tan gone horribly wrong? You can get self tan remover from any drug store or online.
Also use this on orange palms if you've decided to use your hands to apply your tan. Grab a cotton wool ball, Apply a small bit of the remover and then gently apply to your palms or wherever you want the tan removing.

Re applying: Now that your tan is just the way you like ir, Keep moistorising each and every tag to maintain a perfect tan. Re apply when needed.

And there you have it. A few rules to the perfect tan.

Warning to buyers....AveYou

Hey Guys and Girls.

So the other day i ordered something from Ave You. I was asked to do a review on their products, site and overall experience. So they gave me a $150.00 gift card so i could have the full experience of the site and how it all worked.

Choosing the products was fine. There was a little problem with finding the products i actually wanted and they have their site in sections but when you search something you sometimes don't get what you want....You get something entirely different so that was a little annoying.
I choose a lot of O.P.I products because everything else was either too expensive ot i just didn't need it.
It came to $110 and $35 shipping.

I added everything... Paid and waited for it to be shipped.

A shipping/tracking number come through the next day and i tracked the parcel all the way to the UK and then i noticed it said it was being processed by customs.
I emails Ave You about this and asked what happened, Apparently it would be with me after it had been processed...No mention of custom charges!

2 days late it said it had passed customs...and then someone supposedly tried to deliver it which i know for a fact that they didn't because it was at 6.30am and they don't even start delivering till 7am!

Anyway.... A letter came in the post with a £26.36 shipping fee on it....Baring in mind that i have NEVER had this from any other on-line company. Even the big ones!!

I mailed Ave You and they gave me some long email back saying about how it was illegal to not put the full value....I then said 'Why don't you put it as a gift like it is'....They come back with the same email so it was like they just copied from a book!!

Anyway...I phoned parcel force up and sent the package back. I'm so glad i never spent real cash on those products.

At the end of the day, If i am reviewing a products then the company should take care of the customs fees and everything because they will get ALOT more back from what they have been charged to send a package to me. They should put it down as being a gift as that is what it is. I'm not paying for the products so its a gift...Right?

Iv never got this with any other company so far so I'm just saying...If your from the UK (And its happened to people in US and Canada as well...All over the world actually) then only order £18 or less else your going to be whacked with a large sum on top of your order and it will seem pretty pointless getting stuff from them as you'll be paying half or double on top =/

Buyers be aware!!

Ill never be buying anything from this company in the future.
The experience with them has been terrible!

Review: Digital Soap

Hi there.

Todays review is of a company called Digital Soap. This company sells soaps which are moulded to look like various controllers, games and they even sell shampoos.

Check them out by clicking on this link Digital Soap Facebook                                                                                Digital Soap Website

                                                                                Digital Soap Etsy

Digital Soap sent me a few of their amazing products for review.

First Impressions
The owner of this company Chrystal Doucette is really friendly. She is a really nice person to talk to. I first come across this company when i was browsing the web for something which i could buy for my boyfriend. Hes into games, dreamcast and spends most of his time on the pc.I come across the website and thought the products would suite him very well. Being as tho i have a youtube and blog then i thought i would ask if chrystal would like me to do a review and she kindly accepted and sent me some products. I have to admit, I didnt think the soaps would turn up and be as good as they were. Most companies take pictures of their products when they find one that is perfect in all aspects. Chrystals soaps are all perfect. Well the one i had was. No defects, Only the back and top but thats explainable due to her using moulds to make the product.
I was really shocked at the high quality these products turned up like.

As you can see. Everything is wrapped in a plastic type material and this is to prevent the products from being exposed to moisture and germs.
This is what i like to see what i get a product. Them to be hygienically wrapped.

The first this Chrystal sent me was was two cards. One card had her logo on it which had a voucher code on there. Im not sure if this is for customers who have already purchased something from Digital Soap or for new customers. I have covered up the codes until i get a response from Chrystal about this. The other card had a picture of one of her soaps along with a cute little kitty in the background.

Both cards read:
'DigitalSoaps was founded by Chrystal Doucette, of Bellingham, Wash. In the Untied States.
The idea to make geeky soap stemmed from childhood trips to a computer store. When chrystal was younger, Her dad took her to computer city. A trip highlight included the chocolate 5.23-inch floppy disks the store sold. With a desire to relive her past, Chrystal looked online to see if anyone sold the chocolate disks. She didn't find any, But during her research, She found plenty of chocolate moulds shaped like electronics. This discovery sparked the idea of making soap. She was already a fan of homemade soap, So the two ideard merged well.
Her first video game-themed soap, A Playstation 2 replica controller, Received so much attention, She decided to start making more video game controllers. The soap she was most excited about inventing was a Nintendo Entertainment System controller, Because the original Nintendo is her favourite gaming system.
Chrystal has a Master of Arts Degree in communication and Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism, She can be reached at suppport@digitalsoaps.net.

The next thing crystal sent to me was a magnet which had her logo on it. I have this on my fridge right now and it looks really cool. My bf loves it cause hes such a geek and loves anything like this.

The next thing she sent me was a soap which was in the shape of a Nintendo gameboy game.
It came in a case just like the original real games did. At first i couldn't find out how to open it just because i never really played the gameboy when i was younger but then i asked my bf and he opened it right away. He said that the case looked exactly the same as the case which his games used to come in but the only this that was missing was the word on the case.
The Nintendo soap looked exactly the same as a Nintendo game. To every point. It has Nintendo gameboy words in the right place. There is a sticker which is stuck on the soap that has the game title and everything on it and it just looks like a real game.

Before i reviewed these products i gave my bf this gameboy soap and he actually thought it was real. He opened it and then he suddenly smelt the soap and that's how he know that is wasn't a real game.
The smell is so amazing. Its grape Soda which is an extremely sweet smell. It smells very similar to the can of grape soda i had the other week.

The next thing i was sent was a really cute box of little green space invaders. I have to admit that im really addicted to the scent of this product. Its called Mountain Dew. I haven't heard of this scent before but i really am addicted to it now.

There are 3 different designes of space invader(See picture below) I remember when i was little, My dad used to play space invaders and i used to watch him. I did try and play it myself but i couldnt dodge the little bomb like things that they dropped haha.
As i got older i get better at it and it got so addictive and for some reason, One day i just stopped and never played it again. Think its time to go play it again.

The next thing i was sent was the mail thing...The Dreamcase controller. Wow i was amazed how this soap looked. Again i gave this to my bf before i did this review and he just looked at me and said 'wow'. I have compared it to the real Dreamcast controller of my bf's and its exactly the same. The only thing that is different is that is doesn't have the part where the logo was.
This controller is in the scent of Mountain dew again which is a great sweet smell.
I didn't unpack this controller just because i wanted to keep it for decoration.
I have taken a picture of the real controller and also the soap controller. Lets see if you can tell the difference.

My final thoughts and feelings of this company and its products
Im extremely impressed with this company and its products. The products were well packaged in the box. None of the products got damaged and they were not squashed up in the box. They had their own little space.

The products are well made and are really similar to the real thing. The scents of the products are really sweet. First time i opened up the package it let out a to strong smell of all the products mixed together and it was just a really cute smell.

I love how the cards had information about Chrystals past and how she thought of the idea of making soap electronics.
The magnet is now on my fridge in all its glory and looks amazing. Its a really nice thing to have with you and its a good advertising item aswell.
Chrystal herself is a really nice person to talk to and she's always there if you need to ask a question weather it be a general question about her products or a personal question that you need to ask. She's really good at giving advice and speaks her mind.

My overall experience with this company was extremely pleasant and i would reccomend this company to anyone.

Review: FYC Mineral Makeup

Hi there.

Todays review is of a company called Fabulous You Cosmetics. This company sells eyeshaddows, Foundations, Blushes and bronzers which are all mineral. They all come in a very cute variety of shades.

Check them out by clicking on this link FYC Mineral Makeup

FYC sent me 4 beautiful eyeshaddows to review.

First Impressions
The owner of this company Lyn seemed extreamly friendly and helpful. She is a very nice lady to talk to. If you have any problems, All you have to do is contact her and she does all she can to help you.
She replies to every email and does it in a professional, Friendly manor.
The eyeshaddows came in a very cute pink mesh bad which has drawstrings that hold the eyeshaddows safely. It also comes with a little card telling you alittle about Fabulous You Cosmetics and mineral makeup.
Its also got the Ingredients of her makeup on the little card so unlike some cosmetic companies i know...Shes not shading us from seeing what goes into her products.

All of her eye shadows come in a 10g jar with sifters which is great for the price as normally you only get a 5-6g jar from other companies who sell them for the same price if not more.

The little card which comes with the eye shadows says:
'FabulousYou Cosmetics provides make-up that is made from minerals that are crushed into a fine powder and blended with inorganic, natural colouring to produce a variety of colours. Mineral make-up is almost weightless and very good for problematic skin. It reduces the appearance of open pores, Wrinkles and rosacea, and will not damage your skin with harsh chemicals and preservatives.

Mineral make-up also contains a natural sunblock, protecting your skin from UV rays. It will give the appearance of younger looking, healthier skin.'

Eye Shadow - Desert
This eye shadow is a beautiful pale pinky brown pearl shimmer.
Its great for a highlight colour. Its a cute girly colour and would be great for proms, weddings and for really toned down makeup looks.
Personally this shade was the best shade out of the shaddows i was sent as i really love cute pinks.

Here is a link to this eye shaddow: Desert

Eye Shadow - Dirt
This eye shadow is the colour of freshly dug dirt.  Its a really great shade if you want a dark brown smoky look and its great as a crease colour. You can also use this shade as an eye liner or mix it with clear mascara to make a brown mascara for your lashes.

Here is a link to this eye shaddow: Dirt

Eye Shadow - Ochre
This eye shadow pearly salmon pink shade. Its great for a smoky eye and also for a crease colour. You can also use this as a lid colour or eye-liner.
It glistens in the sun giving your eyes a really cute sparkly effect.

Here is a link to this eye shaddow: Ochre

Eye Shaddow - Cascade
This eye shaddow is a beautiful pearly sky blue. Its a really intense colour which looks great as a lid colour, eye liner, crease colour and you can even use it as a nail polish or mascara if you mix it with clear products.

Here is a link to this eye shaddow: Cascade

My overall thoughts
I really do love this company. It has a wide variety of shades, The owner is easy to get in touch with and she replies very swiftly in a friendly professional manor and her products are of a very high standard. I would definably recommend this company to anyone.
As you all know i have extremely sensitive skin and these products didn't irritate my eyes or skin in any way, shape or form.
The prices of these products are really good compared to what you get.
If you are on a budget or just want to invest in some really cute, highly pigmented eye shadows then FYC is the company for you.
