So as you all know i collected my 2 tokens out of Fabulous Magazine and redeemed them at the Tesco in my area.
The queue was ever so long. The isle was full of people holding tokens to get their makeup. Which really shocks me is there was more of the older generation then the younger. There was just a handful of teenagers and then more 4-5 if not 6 times more older generation. I would have thyought the teens would be queueing up for this stuff.
Anyways, So i got my 2 kits (Me and my dad redeemed those tokens) and my uncle came along and redeemed the tokens he had to get me another one, So i have 3 now. The more the better!
First Impressions
Descent for the price i payed to get the tokens which was meant to be £4 but i only payed £2.50 due to there being 3 tokens in the first magazine i got(I gave my sister one and she gave me 50p for it lol).
I wasnt too please with the zipper bag it comes in and would have liked a better bag but what did i expect for free. I loved the colours of the packaging of the cosmetics and the tweezers and crulers looked really high quality
Cosmetics Review-Volumising Mascara
The mascara packaging was amazing. A candy pink screw lid with a black base and white writing. Perfect match for a nice girly product. There is 6ml of product in this tube.
When i opened it up the first thing i noticed was that the brush looked really bitty, Like it had been swiped over wool or something. There was alot of product on the brush and alot of product on the end of the brush which is easily removed by scraping it on the side of the tube.There is a faint scent to this product.
The mascara was in shade black. I havent actually used the mascara as yet but ill be using it tomorrow to see how it compares to my Bad gal Waterproof and my Almay pure blends.It also have all of the ingredients on the back which i will list at the end of this review and was made in England.
Cosmetics Review-Liquid Eyeliner
Just like the mascara the packaging was great! It also had a screw lid. The only problem with the packaging was the print on the front. Some of the print was smudged and had come off.
There is 3ml of product in this tube. There is a faint scent to this product.
When i opened it up it had alot of product on the wand and its stiff so its so so for applying.
I normally get wands that are a tiny but bendy so i can apply it better.
The tip of the wand is pointy and great for flicks. The shade of this eyeliner is also black.
Again i havent used this product just yet but i will be using it in the morning and comparing it to mya liquid liner i already have. Im not quite sure on the names of the liners i will be comparing it to as i havent used liquid liner for more then 2 weeks now because i prefere pencils.
It also has all of the ingredients on the back which i will list at the end of this review and was made in England.
Cosmetics Review-Due eyeshaddow
The case for the for the duo has a clear lid with white print on the top and a black base.
There is 2.5g of product in this duo.
There is a quite faint scent to this product. The lid was quite hard to open at first but now i have opend and closed it a few times its much looser. I supposed its a good thing that the case was stiff to open so i know that the case isnt going to come open in my makeup bag.
The duo is in shade Goldie-rocks DE011.
The left eyeshaddow is inbetween a peach and light gold colour with lots of silvery shimmer.The right shaddow is a darkish brown/black with silvery shimmer.
Both are quite pigmented. The back of the duo just has the name and ingredients along with the location of which the product was made which is England.
The ingredients will also be posted at the end of this review.
Cosmetics Review-Tweezers
The tweezers are heavy duty metal and are metalic candy pink with a silver tip and has white print of the front..
It doesnt say the weight of these but they are fairly heavy for tweezers.
Thease tweezers are really precise and all around excellent for plucking. They are really easy to grip.The print on the front was alittle worn and smudged.
Cosmetics Review-Lash curlers
The lash curlers are heavy duty metal and are black with a white rubber sponge.
It doesnt say the weight of these but they are fairly light.
The curlers are excellent for curling and they are spring pressuerd so you can customise your own curl. If you want a small lift curl then you just gentally press squeese but it you want more of a curl then squeese alittle harder.. They are really easy to grip and really comfortable to use.
Cosmetics Review-The zipper bag
The first time i tried to open this zipper bag i had a really hard time getting it open. Once i opend it a couple of times it loosened up and its not quite easy to unzip and close back up again.
The bag is made from plastic.It has white print on the front. The zipper bag is suitable to use for travel and also for other uses such as a toiletry bag etc. It was just thr right size to fit all of the kit in.
Final thought about this kit
For the cash i payed for it i think its a really good kit and i would usually get the models own cosmetics as i find their items alittle expencive.
The best thing about this kit was the tweezers ad the duo.
The kit is a really good addition to my makeup collection.
